Yesterday Ley Keep completed our Soft Launch! It has been wonderful to see so many join to come along on this journey with us. With a full launch planned for over the weekend, we wanted to set out a few things that you can see here at Ley Keep, as well as give a little insight into some of our upcoming plans.
What is Ley Keep?
A website (and associated discord community server) to cover encounter-specific builds and in-depth guides for the toughest raiding content in the game. Ley Keep is focused on kills and clears for these encounters, but does also provide a space for those who want to progress them, which may grow dependent on community demand, as well as people looking for others to join within the raiding community. We primarily are offering content for the Challenge and Legendary Modes for Harvest Temple, Temple of Febe, Mount Balrior, Guardian's Glade and Nexus of Eternity Encounters. We are also housing a section for those going for Infallible.
Is it just builds and encounter guides?
Just?! Well now that you ask, no it it isn't. The website also houses a Squad Composition Tool, a CC Calculator and a fun Tier List Maker. The discord itself has a bot-based LFG system with saveable custom templates and the guarantee that anyone signing up for your Kill run has completed the fight previously. Both have an overview of the current runs in the LFG - never miss a run because it gets lost under other posts again!
Future plans
We have so many things planned based on our own ideas and community feedback from our beta testers and those involved in the soft launch. We want to hear all the things that people want to see, though technical limits do apply sadly. Currently our plans include:
- Rounding out the build options on the website for each encounter, including LI builds where they are viable, options for both major boons (quickness and alacrity), and more niche builds for specific strats.
- Adding to our encounter guides, including the addition of various strategies.
- Updating our Nexus of Eternity guide to its CM mechanics once the fight is out.
- The ability to check Wingman KP if you've added it as a requirement on your LFG.
How can you get involved?
We currently have a small team of wonderful people helping to make this project a reality. But that doesn't mean we're full or know everything. We are committed to having as diverse a team as possible from all different parts of the community and that's where you can help! We are opening our staff applications to everyone. The main requirements are enthusiasm, positivity and having some time to contribute. Do note the "staff titles" are kinda bland for now and may be getting a spruce up in future.
Editors - We're looking for people who are knowledgeable about their preferred class(es) in the fights that we cover to help provide and curate encounter-specific builds, as well as people with deep encounter knowledge who want to contribute to guides.
Moderator - These would be our staff members with responsibility for helping to guide the community in the spirit of the discord server rules. We're looking for people able to be fairly impartial and willing to be visible in the community, taking part in discussions etc.
Ticketer - Our team who help to give our Kill roles that cannot currently be given via the automated system that we have. The biggest requirement is time to help out with tickets when they appear.
Events - We do have plans for future events surrounding our content and have some openings for people willing to contribute ideas and help bring them to life. This will likely be more of a "seasonal" role than the others.
